Overview

At Lorcoproxhotel, we are committed to providing clear and fair refund policies for our tenants. This policy outlines the circumstances under which refunds are provided, the refund process, and any applicable fees or conditions.

Refundable Payments

Security Deposits

Fully refundable upon lease termination, subject to property inspection and deduction for damages beyond normal wear and tear.

Advance Rent

Refundable according to the cancellation policy timeframe and terms.

Utility Deposits

Fully refundable after final utility bill settlement and account closure.

Parking Fees

Pro-rated refund available for unused parking periods with 30-day notice.

Non-Refundable Payments

Administrative Fees

Non-refundable processing fees for applications, background checks, and administrative services.

Late Payment Penalties

Non-refundable charges for late rent payments.

Damage Costs

Costs for repairs beyond normal wear and tear will be deducted from security deposits.

Refund Processing Time

Security Deposits

Processed within 14 business days after lease termination and property inspection. Final inspection report will be provided within 7 days of move-out.

Cancellation Refunds

Processed within 14 business days after cancellation request approval and documentation verification.

Utility Deposits

Processed within 21 business days after final utility bill settlement and account confirmation.

Refund Method

Refunds will be processed using the following methods:

  • Bank transfer to the original payer's account
  • Credit/debit card refund to the original payment method
  • Cheque (for amounts exceeding R5,000 upon request)

Deductions from Security Deposits

Security deposits may be reduced for:

  • Unpaid rent or utility bills
  • Property damage beyond normal wear and tear
  • Cleaning costs if property is not left in acceptable condition
  • Lost or damaged keys, access cards, or equipment
  • Breach of lease agreement penalties

Dispute Resolution

If you disagree with any refund decision:

  • Submit a written dispute within 7 days of receiving the refund decision
  • Provide supporting documentation and evidence
  • We will review and respond within 10 business days
  • Unresolved disputes may be referred to the Rental Housing Tribunal

Move-Out Inspection

To ensure a full refund of your security deposit:

  • Schedule a move-out inspection at least 48 hours before departure
  • Provide forwarding address for refund correspondence
  • Return all keys, access cards, and equipment
  • Leave the property in clean condition

Policy Changes

We reserve the right to modify this refund policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Existing agreements will be subject to the policy in effect at the time of signing.
